OM3 50/125 µm multimode connector assemblies for high-speed indoor backbone, horizontal and protected building-to-building optical links.
OM3 Multimode Fiber Optic Cable Assemblies are laser-optimized 50/125 µm assemblies for high-speed multimode cabling inside buildings and across protected inter-building routes. They can be configured for backbone links, horizontal fiber-to-the-desk connections or equipment patching.
The listed construction uses an aqua, non-metallic LSZH cable and may be based on 900 µm easy-strip tight-buffered fiber or 250 µm easy-strip loose-tube fiber. Cable structure should be chosen for the termination hardware and route rather than treated as interchangeable.
Confirm network rate and standard, transceiver wavelength, connector ends, route length, mated-pair count and loss budget. Specify whether the cable must be tight-buffered or loose-tube and whether the inter-building section has a pathway suitable for the selected indoor construction.
Huijue Group can review OEM OM3 patch cords, pigtails and drawing-based assemblies with private-label identification. Connector mix, cable construction, length tolerance, optical tests and quantity are approved per order; unsupported route or fire ratings will not be inferred from jacket color.
Optical Performance Indicator Requirements for Fiber Optic Connectors
a) The insertion loss (including repeatability) of any plug connected to a standard plug via a standard adapter shall be ≤ 0.2dB.
b) The insertion loss of two plugs connected via a standard adapter shall be ≤ 0.3dB.
c) After various tests, the allowable variation of insertion loss shall be ≤ 0.2dB, and the variation of return loss shall be < 5dB.
Keep the assembly in a pathway appropriate to its approved LSZH cable construction. Maintain bend radius, clean every connector and include all adapters and patching points in the channel loss calculation.
Buyer Questions
Answers specific to OM3 Multimode Fiber Optic Cable Assemblies selection, configuration and purchasing.
No. The fiber type and the cable's environmental construction are separate choices. The pathway and exposure must be reviewed.
Yes, a hybrid assembly can be reviewed when the equipment interfaces, polarity and channel budget are defined.
Use the deployment context to narrow the configuration before comparing dimensions, capacities and options.
Match splitter or WDM architecture to wavelength plan, ratio, package and insertion-loss targets.
Coordinate connector, polish, fiber grade, polarity and cable length across patching points.
Plan MPO/MTP trunks and harnesses around port mapping, breakout format and rack density.
Select splicing, cleaning and test tools for the connector types and measurements used on site.
Before quotation: confirm capacity, interfaces, installation environment, power conditions, quantity and required options.
