Drop Cable – GJYXCH Self-Supporting Metal Strength Member

Drop Cable – GJYXCH Self-Supporting Metal Strength Member

A self-supporting butterfly drop cable with paired steel reinforcement, an independent steel messenger and an LSZH sheath, supplied in a documented 2.0 × 5.0 mm profile.

Product Features

  • Up to four fibers.
  • Listed overall profile of 2.0 × 5.0 mm.
  • Two parallel phosphated steel strength wires.
  • Independent steel messenger wire.
  • White or black LSZH flame-retardant jacket.
  • B1.1/B1.3, B6a and B6b fiber variants.

GJYXCH combines a subscriber fiber-drop section with a separate steel messenger. Two phosphated steel wires reinforce the fiber section, while the additional messenger provides the load-bearing element for a designed self-supporting installation.

The construction is intended for access-network drops where the cable must cross a span before reaching the subscriber route. Span suitability depends on the messenger, supports and environmental loads; the word self-supporting does not define an allowable distance on its own.

Selection & Configuration

Provide span lengths, support positions, attachment hardware and weather conditions before selecting the messenger arrangement. Identify fiber grade and the subscriber-end routing, including any transition where the messenger is separated or terminated. Optical attenuation values vary by fiber group in the table, so agree the selected grade and wavelength test requirements.

Manufacturing & Customization

Huijue Group can assess an OEM aerial-drop build, private-label legends and a sample or drawing defining messenger transitions. Steel sizing, tooling, tensile and optical tests, order quantity and delivery scope must be confirmed by engineering.

Buyer Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers specific to Drop Cable – GJYXCH Self-Supporting Metal Strength Member selection, configuration and purchasing.

How many metallic supporting elements are described?

The fiber section has two parallel phosphated steel wires, and the cable also has an independent steel messenger.

What is the maximum aerial span?

No universal span value is established in this record. Provide the route, supports and weather loads for engineering review.

Is it identical to the non-self-supporting 2.0 × 3.0 mm drop?

No. GJYXCH includes the additional messenger and a listed 2.0 × 5.0 mm profile. Use its own approved dimensions and mechanical design.
